Yes, it's worth it. It is not necessary to conclude an assignment contract before starting work and UKKO.fi does not require it from its light entrepreneurs. However, the contract is useful in many ways, as it makes agreeing on the work and its terms clearer for both parties.

An assignment contract is a contract in which a company or an individual buys a work performance from a company or an entrepreneur. With the help of the contract, the light entrepreneur and his client can draw up common rules of the game while agreeing on the work performance.

It is always a good idea to enter into an assignment agreement in writing, and it can be in both paper and electronic form. However, the agreement must be made in such a way that the other party cannot modify the terms of the agreement after the fact. Of course, the agreement can be changed so that it suits and is clear to both parties; changes should also be made in writing.
