From a tax and accounting standpoint, you are an employee. In terms of unemployment insurance, you are considered an entrepreneur.
The UKKO Light Entrepreneurship service uses a tax card for salaries, which is the same tax card you give to your employer when you are employed. We will also report your salary to the incomes register for you.
As light entrepreneurs are seen as entrepreneurs in terms of social and unemployment security, they are covered by the Entrepreneur's Pension Insurance (YEL). You have to take out the insurance yourself when the gross income is more than 750,86 euros per month and the activity lasts for at least four months.
When operating through the UKKO.fi service
- you operate as an entrepreneur without a business ID,
- you can invoice for assignments, but not for employment,
- you procure your customers yourself and agree on work with them,
- you are responsible for the services you sell and their pricing,
- you invoice for your work through UKKO.fi,
- you are not employed by UKKO.fi in accordance with the Employment Contracts Act.
