5. The invoice is ready
1. Create an invoice and fill in the customer information
You can make invoices by clicking on invoices from your own UKKO account. Select "create invoice" and this way you will get to the invoice form.
Fill in the customer's contact information first. If you have already saved your customer in the customer register, the customer's information will automatically appear on the invoice. You can save customers in the customer register from the "customers" tab.
All necessary information about your customer is marked with a red star *. You should choose whether your invoiced customer is a company or an individual. The required information changes when the customer type changes.
Mark the mandatory contact information and other possible information that you have agreed with your client. You can choose e-mail or e-invoice as the invoice sending method, in which case UKKO Light Entrepreneur service will send the invoice to your customer. You can also choose the option of downloading the invoice to your own computer and manually sending it to the customer.
2. Invoice information
In the invoice information, you must fill in the due date, payment terms, notice period and possible customer reference.
The service automatically sets the date on which you create the invoice for your invoice. By default, a 14-day payment term is set. You can modify it when creating the invoice or set a customer-specific payment term for the customer in the customer register.
The notice period on the invoice means the time within which the buyer should make a note to the seller if there is an error in the invoice. However, the notice period is indicative, because according to the law, it does not remove the seller's responsibility for the correctness of the invoice.
Your invoice is also defined by default with a 5% late payment interest, which the service automatically calculates on your invoice if you send a payment reminder from the invoice to your customer. You can edit this and the notice period as you wish.
3. Billable services
The text box above the invoicing rows is for optional extra information about your invoice.
Products or services to be sold are added in the items -section of the invoice. Enter the product or service for which you are now charging, it's VAT rate, quantity, unit and unit price. Also indicate whether the invoice amount includes VAT or whether it is added to the invoice price. You can also enter an optional description on the invoice line if you want to describe the service more.
You can also give a discount to your service if you want. If you have several services or products or you want to separate the days from each other, press + add a new row, and you will get a new calculation row.
4. Preview
In the last step, you get to see the invoice you made as a preview. You can either save your invoice as a draft by clicking "Save as draft" or finalize the invoice by clicking "Send/download invoice".
5. Ready!
Congratulations, your invoice is now ready and sent to your customer, if you chose email or e-invoice as the shipping method for the invoice!
